Kenny Gorelick, known to millions as Kenny G, skyrocketed to international super stardom in the 1980s with “smooth jazz” ballads like “Songbird” and “Silhouette.” He remains the best-selling instrumentalist of the modern era, adored by legions of fans from around the globe throughout the last 3 decades.

And here’s the good news! The Grammy’s award saxophonist Kenny G has added Malaysia onto his World Tour’s schedule and will return to Malaysia for a solo concert on April 2^nd, Sunday at 5pm at the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting.

Since becoming a household name in the ’80s, the musician, 66, has religiously practiced the saxophone for up to four hours a day, every day. Kenny has remained active on the music scene and stayed connected with fans. Apart from his many tour dates, Kenny released a new album “New Standards” in 2021 that features 11 original compositions inspired by the Jazz Ballads of the ’50s and ’60s. He has stayed current through unexpected music crossovers with megastar artistes Kanye West and The Weeknd in the recent years which attracted and appealed to newer fans.

Kenny G has once again proven his unrivalled popularity and how his music has stayed relevant for so long with a music documentary “Listening to Kenny G” specially crafted and filmed featuring his unconventional journey to the top, his legacy in music and the jazz purists’ feathers he’s ruffled along the way. The film, premiered on HKB, also details his Seattle upbringing and the massive success of hit songs like Silhouette, Songbird and Sentimental.
