KUALA LUMPUR: The King of Pop Michael Jackson may have left us 13 years ago, but his legacy of world class performances has been resurrected vividly by multi-talented Rodrigo Teaser.
In September, Teaser, one of the world’s top Jackson impersonators, will bring his one-of-a-kind tribute show, Michael Lives Forever, to Malaysia. This production has sold out across Latin America, Europe and the United States and has been attended by over 500,000 fans worldwide.
The only Jackson impersonator mentioned in the King of Pop’s official website, Teaser painstakingly respects every aspect of his idol’s works. He has spent over 20 years perfecting his career as a professional pop star impersonator. As a result, his stage performances showcase over 60 costumes meticulously replicated to be exactly what Jackson had worn.
Moreover, he has Jackson’s choreographer for over 20 years, Lavelle Smith Jr as his choreographer.
“You feel transported to each Michael Jackson era when you see Rodrigo perform all the hit songs,” said Smith Jr in a statement today.
Teaser started imitating Jackson at 9 and had an extensive history of TV appearances and performances.
With 16 crew members comprising dancers and musicians, Michael Lives Forever will take audiences on a “time travel” to each Jackson era where his hit songs and dance moves are performed live.
Organised by Star Planet, Michael Lives Forever World Tour — Malaysia 2022 will be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu on Sept 15 and the Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting on Sept 18。
