Are you ready for another Heavenly King? Cantopop superstar Andy Lau Tak Wah will return to Malaysia for a three-night concert series at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur, on September 13, 14 and 15.
The concert is part of the 56-year-old artiste’s My Love Andy Lau World Tour. which kicked off at the 12,500-capacity Hong Kong Coliseum with 20 shows, from December 15, 2018 to January 3, 2019, before moving on to China. The Malaysian concerts will be the tour’s first show outside of Hong Kong And China.
Lau is one of Asia’s biggest and most recognisable entertainers, having been active in showbiz since 1981, releasing a total of 61 albums, 172 films and 28 television series to date. He has won more than 300 music awards and several acting gongs for movies like Running Out Of Time (1999), A Fighter’s Blues (2000), Running On Karma (2003), Infernal Affairs III (2003), Protege (2007) and A Simple Life (2011).
Tickets for his concert tour, his first in eight years, have been selling like hot cakes. Last August, a fan of Lau’s was stabbed by two men while waiting to purchase concert tickets in Hong Kong. The 58-year-old fan from mainland China was second in line and had been queuing up for almost two weeks.
The Malaysian concert is jointly presented by Allianz Malaysia Berhad and S P Setia and jointly organised by Star Planet and Focus Entertainment.
