Organised by Star Planet, Ungu’s 26th Anniversary Live in Malaysia will take place at Menara PGRM’s STAR Convention and Exhibition Centre in KL. Founded in 1996, Ungu comprises lead vocalist Pasha, guitarists Enda and Oncy, bassist Makki and drummer Rowman. In 2005, Ungu’s album “Melayang” was a huge success, gaining them tremendous popularity in Indonesia and across Asia. In 2015, Ungu released their seventh studio album “Mozaik”, which sold more than 200,000 copies and won a platinum recording award.

Later in the same year, lead vocalist Pasha was elected as the deputy mayor of Palu in Central Sulawesi. Enda and Oncy took over as vocalists and the band remained somewhat active. Pasha finally reunited with the band members after his office term ended in 2018 and he proclaimed the return of Ungu.

Fans are certainly looking forward to the band’s long-awaited new album, which is believed to be in the works.
