Malaysian Singer-Cum-Songwriter Michael Wong Announces Grand Comeback After 5-Year Hiatus

The long-awaited moment has arrived as Michael Wong (光良), the renowned Malaysian singer-songwriter, reveals his comeback with the “Lonely Planet 2.0” world tour. 

During the release of his latest single earlier this January, Michael revealed his plan to return to Malaysia to meet with his fans. The announcement has quickly become the talk of the town, capturing widespread attention and huge excitement among eager fans. And the organizer, Star Planet today announces the Malaysia leg of the tour, has set to take place on May 4th at 8pm in the Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil. This is Michael’s return to the Malaysia’s stage after a 5-year hiatus.

The tour “Lonely Planet 2.0” will officially kick start with first gig slated on April 13th at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center in China. As the excitement builds, the tour dates for subsequent performances in cities such as Wuhan, Beijing, Nanjing, and more are being gradually unveiled, adding to the anticipation of fans across various regions.

His stop in Jakarta scheduled on March 30th experiencing a sold-out status on the very first day of ticket launch. Due to overwhelming demand, an additional show has been announced. This milestone holds particular significance as it marks Michael Wong’s triumphant return to Indonesia after an absence of almost 13 years since his last performance in the city.
